It’s not what you look at that matters.
It’s what you see.

Angela Vaxali
My name is Angela, and I am a professional tour guide licensed by the Greek Ministry of Tourism to conduct tours in English and French.
I was born and raised in Athens, but love ultimately brought me to the beautiful island of Corfu, which I proudly call home. I am a graduate of the National School of Tourist Guides and have also completed officially accredited training in Ionian Islands Culture, Museum Education, Teaching with Art, and Thematic Tourism.
A tourist guide is a bridge
between the visible and the invisible,
turning sights into meaning.

and the invisible,
turning sights into meaning.
Guiding is not simply about presenting monuments, museums, or historical sites. It is about revealing the stories behind them: the people who lived here, the traditions that shaped the island and the layers of history that still resonate today.
I aspire to invite visitors to experience Corfu as a living cultural landscape filled with meaning, memory, and emotion.
As a licensed tour guide and not a travel agency, I offer walking tours of Corfu Town as well as guided visits to the surrounding sites and museums. For organized excursions including transportation to different parts of the island, you may contact the travel agency I collaborate with, Local Tales.
Do not hesitate to contact me for any question. I will be more than happy to help you!

If there is one unmissable experience in Corfu, it is the exploration of Corfu’s Old Town and the Old Fortress.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and ranked among the most beautiful old towns in Greece, Corfu’s Old Town is a true open-air museum, a vibrant mosaic of cultures shaped by the many civilizations that have left their mark over the centuries —the Venetians, the French, the British, the Greeks, and many others— by ancient myths, local legends, and the richness of living traditions that continue to bring it to life today.
The Old Town of Corfu is not just the heart of the island—it is its soul.
Stand beneath the walls of the Old Fortress, one of the island’s most iconic monuments, and take in breathtaking views while understanding how Corfu became one of the most important strongholds in the Mediterranean.
Explore the famous Spianada, the largest square in Greece, dominated by the majestic Palace of St. George and St. Michael, the lively small squares, the picturesque alleys, and hidden corners that most visitors pass through without truly seeing.
In Corfu’s Old Town, every place tells a story…
The sound of philharmonic bands, the aroma of coffee along the Liston promenade, local flavors such as kumquat liqueur, and the protection of Saint Spyridon watching over the island…
Come walk through the history and culture of Corfu.
Listen to it, taste it, understand it. Discover its spirit and its soul.
